Daily troubleshooting of twin-screw puffing machine
The twin-screw feed puffing machine mainly consists of a barrel and rotating extrusion twin-screw components inside the barrel. When the equipment is in operation, the material enters the material chamber through the feeding port, and the screw rotates and squeezes it forward. Under the action of thrust, friction, shear force, and heat, a high-pressure and high-temperature difference is formed inside and outside the chamber. At the moment when the material is extruded, it expands due to the pressure difference.
Blocking without discharge
(1) The particle size of the raw material is too large compared to the size of the mold hole
(2) Excessive feeding and fast speed in a short period of time
(3) Foreign objects blocking the discharge port
(4) The pressure ring ratio diameter is too small, the water supply and steam pressure are too small, and the temperature adjustment is not enough
Solution: For materials with excessively large particle sizes, they need to be crushed to the appropriate particle size; Adjust the feeding speed and amount, stop the machine for inspection and cleaning of foreign objects; Replace the mold and readjust the water flow rate to ensure sufficient water pressure and steam pressure.
Poor discharge molding

(1) Uneven size of mold holes;
(2) Blade wear, cutting speed too fast or too slow;
(3) The temperature during processing is too high or too low;
(4) The raw material formula is inappropriate, and the moisture content of the material is too high or too low.
Solution: Configure appropriate mold holes, check the degree of blade wear and replace it in a timely manner, adjust cutting speed, modulator temperature, and steam input.

Solution: Re adjust the water flow rate to ensure appropriate water pressure and steam pressure.
Powder back spraying of puffed materials
Feed too fast, too much, or discharge poorly or blockages.
Solution: Control the feeding speed and investigate the reasons for failure to discharge one by one
