However, this is not the case. The quality of feed has no direct correlation with the level of protein. Blindly pursuing high protein may just be paying "IQ tax".
From the perspective of animal nutrition, animals have a certain proportion of nutritional needs, and the higher the protein content, the better. Excessive and difficult to digest protein not only cannot be fully utilized by animals, causing waste of feed resources, but also burdens the animal body.
Excessive protein burdens the liver. When excessive protein is metabolized in the animal body, it will increase the detoxification and excretion pressure of the liver and kidneys, cause liver and gallbladder diseases, and make the fish too fat, just like humans are intolerant to stress after obesity, and their resistance decreases. Bile acid can promote the digestion and absorption of plant protein in feed and reduce the impact of excessive protein on the liver.
Excessive protein pollutes water quality. Excessive protein, if not digested and absorbed, will be discharged into the water with feces, which will increase the nitrogen content in the water, cause eutrophication of the water, damage water quality, trigger massive reproduction of algae, further deteriorate the breeding environment, and affect the growth of fish and shrimp.
